Kaposia Retirement Services

Kaposia’s Retirement Services offer volunteer opportunities in Roseville and Crystal, as well as at a variety of locations in the metro area. Volunteers play a vital role in services, allowing us to provide a greater variety of activities, individualized support for individuals, and increased social connections.

The following volunteer opportunities are available:

Animal Companion Visitor
Bring your pet to our program for visits with individuals.
|
Blanket Brigade Sewing Assistant
Help retirees make baby blankets from fleece remnants. Blankets are donated to youth patients at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare.
|
Craft & Hobby Helper
Help individuals complete craft or hobby projects. Select from woodcraft, scrapbooking, card making, clay art, etc. Supplies available; bring your creativity!
|
Entertainer
Share your musical talents with seniors at holiday celebrations or other special events.
|
Exercise Coach
Help seniors maintain fitness by assisting with exercise classes or walking.
|
Field Trip Helper
Assist with events such as Minnesota Twins games, Minnesota Zoo, State Fair, Apple Orchard, Bachman's Spring Flower Show, etc.
|
Greeting Card Maker
Create hand-made or computer-generated greeting cards that are used by the seniors to keep in touch with family, friends, and pen pals. Seasonal, birthday, thank you, and all-occasion cards are needed. Samples and supplies are available.

Holiday Gift & Cheer Giver
Adopt a senior for gift-giving, assist with holiday party or help with visit to Marshall Field's Annual Animated Holiday Display.

Letter Writing Assistant
Assist senior in maintaining contact with family and friends by helping with letter reading and writing, addressing envelopes, etc.
|
Pen Pal
Volunteer from home and brighten a day by exchanging cards or letter with a senior.
|
